With only two seasons, you can go to Hawaii during summer or winter but still enjoy much warmer weather at any time of year than compared to the mainland U.S. Water at the beach is at a comfortable and consistent temperature throughout the year which is why Hawaii is the ultimate beach destination year round. Visa, Immigration, Customs
If you are coming from any other part of the United States, you dont need a passport and visa to enter Hawaii. Anyone flying or sailing in from international destinations, and who is a non-US citizen, would need a passport and U.S. visa to enter Hawaiian territory. Customs regulations in Hawaii is generally the same as other US ports of entry, however, Hawaii has special requirements for those bringing in pets and plants. Pets entering the state of Hawaii are subject to a quarantine time of 120 days in accordance to their state laws. Special requirements are also required when bringing plants into the islands.
Transportation
There are several ways that one can go around Hawaii when they visit. There is the extensive bus system that offers good deals in transfers for tourists and locals alike. The bus system is ideal for those who are sticking to a budget. Other ways are by limousine, shuttle service, or rental car.
